The program aimed to consolidate existing bilateral relations and shared sensibilities between people of two countries.Shillong Chamber Choir, Lily Veng Cultural and Drama Club, Thoibi Manipuri Dance and Cultural Research Institute and Tetseo Sisters held cultural performances at different places of Nepal.Lily Veng Cultural and Drama Club presented dances of Mizo community like Powi. Chawnglaizawn dance was performed where artists danced to the beat of drums. They also showcased Sarlamkai/Solakia dances.
Thoibi Manipuri Dance and Cultural Research Institute from Manipur presented famous songs and dances of Manipur like Maibi Dance, Lai Haraoba Dance, Asaraili Odo and many more.Tetseo Sisters celebrated songs of life, the beauty of hills and storytelling through the language of Li with a repertoire of Naga Folk songs from Nagaland.From North East of India, Shillong Chamber Choir (SCC), a multi-genre choir, which won the reality TV Show India’s Got Talent enthralled the audience at the cultural evening.
