    Lasted 47 rounds of bullets

    KATHMANDU, Jan 26, Police on Friday fired 11 rounds of rubber bullets to take the situation under control that went tense after the locals clashed with the former over the report of the Local Bodies Restructuring Commission (LBRC).

    Earlier, police had fired 22 rounds of teargas shells to take the tense situation under control.  They resorted to firing rubber bullets after the situation went out of control.

    A protestor Binod Pathak has been injured in the police firing, DSP Rishi Ram Kandel of Nuwakot District Police Office told.

    Over 500 cadres from Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center) and Ratriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) demonstrated today in front of district headquarters Bidur, demanding that Likhu VDC be created as a separate village council.
