Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Krishna Bahadur Mahara tabled the Bonus (Fifth Amendment) Bill, 2073 BS in the meeting of the Legislature-Parliament as we speak.
Tabling the Bill, Finance Minister Mahara argued how the Bill has been made aware of make the production competitive and it would be implemented only in brand new bodies in the first phase.
Before this, Prem Suwal of the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party had urged the government to withdraw the bill saying it isn't in line with socialism. The Parliament next meets at 1 pm on January 23.
